Degree Requirements

Each student in International Studies can take a wide variety of courses to satisfy the course requirements. Because students must show a minimum of eight courses not double-counted in any other major(s), students should see an international studies adviser when designing their program. 

Program Requirements 10-12 courses 

Adjunct majors must complete a minimum of 10 courses including 5 Core courses, 4 Thematic courses and 1 Senior Integrating Seminar or the Honors Sequence (2 courses).  All Students must take at least three foreign language courses at Northwestern and satisfy the Weinberg 2-year foreign language proficiency.
