Kexin Zhao

Kexin (she/her) is a third-year PhD student in Sociology. Her research explores the politics and governance of global economic circulation. In particular, she studies how firms respond to uncertainty and crisis through experimental strategies, and how these transnational, distributed experimentations reconfigure power dynamics across borders. Before joining Northwestern, Kexin earned her B.A. in Anthropology and International and Public Affairs from Brown University and worked as a consultant for the UN Development Coordination Office.
