Daniel Immerwahr is Assistant Professor of History at Northwestern University. He is a historian, specializing in U.S. foreign relations and global history. His first book, Thinking Small: The United States and the Lure of Community Development, was published in 2015. He is currently working on a study of the United States' empire.
